Demand Estimation

Since there are no airports on the proposed site, there is no direct data that can be used for the forecast. Instead, historical data taken from Riverside County and the FAA was used. Population, registered aircraft, and nearby airport data were used to create multiple relationships using a series of regression and market share (increasing and constant) analysis. This ultimately determined data for based aircraft, operations, peak hour operations, and a basic fleet mix. The forecast utilizes a 20 year design period starting in 2013 up until 2033 and focuses on smaller increments to determine a Facilities Implementation PlanFor a more detailed report please refer to Chapter 3 of the Master Plan.
