Terminal Area

The terminal area serves to transition use between air and ground transportation and to deal with airport functionality. FAA design standards were used to determine the overall area for the building and space allocated for specific uses. The terminal area layout includes a waiting area, office and operational space, kitchen and dining areas.

The height of the control tower was also analyzed for airspace hazards. The tip of the tower has a 90 ft. clearance below the transitional surface as outlined in the FAR Part 77.

The automobile parking area contains 430 parking spaces and follows the design standards outlined by the FAA. This includes dedicated disabled parking spaces, efficient traffic circulation, loading curb, protected pedestrian walkways, and landscape aesthetics.
