Runway Taxiway System

The runway taxiway system is the defining feature of the airport.
The size, orientation, and layout was determined using the Airport Reference Code (ARC) and the forecasted demand that was previously mentioned.

The runway taxiway systems contains the following elements:
  • Runway
  • Taxiway
  • Blastpad
  • Entrance and exit ways
  • Holding bays
  • Navigational aids
The runway is oriented in a 8/26 magnetic (9/27 true) direction that was determined based on allowable wind direction and existing terrain. For more information on this topic please see Chapter 5 of the Master Plan.
